Who are we?

VAT Refund Service OÜ was founded in order to facilitate the swift and easy VAT refund applications from other Member States. Our goal is to ensure the liquidity of Estonian businesses.

Liina Karlson

Liina Karlson has obtained a master's degree in law at Tallinn University of Technology and a master's degree in information technology law (IT law) at the University of Tartu. In addition, she has a professional education in virtual commerce. He has completed several trainings in the fields of law, information technology and accounting and is a member of the Estonian Lawyers' Association.

Liina has extensive consulting experience in various areas of civil law, including labor law, association law, apartment association law, insurance law, debt law, construction law and family law. In addition, she has experience in the field of tax law.

She has worked at the Tax and Customs Board and at the Grant Thornton auditing firm for a total of approximately 12 years. Since the founding of the company in 2015, Liina has been a lawyer and partner at Themis Law Firm.

During her advisory work, Liina has been involved in VAT refund from European Union Member States for approximately the last 18 years. Her main experiences have been in Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania, as well as in Estonia.

Kristiina Kevvät

Kristiina Kevvät has obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Tallinn University of Technology.

She has worked at the Tax and Customs Board for 16 years, with a significant portion of that time in the field of international information exchange. Her work in international information exchange involved various tasks aimed at ensuring effective communication and information exchange between different countries and organizations. Among other things, Kristiina participated in the drafting of tax-related multilateral agreements and represented the Tax and Customs Board at the VAT Expert Group of the European Commission.

Kristiina has extensive experience in advising businesses on both domestic and cross-border tax issues in Estonia. In addition to her professional experience, Kristiina has lived abroad for six years (in China, Sweden, and the Netherlands), which has provided her with valuable insight into other cultures and diverse international experiences.
